Welcome to Jouli. By accessing or using our service, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Jouli, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.
2. Service Description
Jouli is a tool for calculating energy allocations and generating invoices for Swiss solar communities (Eigenverbrauchsgemeinschaften). The generated calculations and invoices are tool-assisted outputs and do not constitute certified or legally binding invoices. Users are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all generated documents before use.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You agree to promptly update your account information if it changes.
4. Data & Privacy
Your use of Jouli is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the service, you consent to the collection and use of data as described therein. Energy data and personal member information are stored securely and processed only for the purposes of providing the service.
5. Limitation of Liability
Jouli is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to errors in calculations, billing discrepancies, or data loss. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
6. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, specifically the Swiss Code of Obligations and the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG). Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bern, Switzerland.
